I tend to forget that in a few weeks my life in this summer bliss will end. In a way it feels as if my summer hasnt even started, like I am not using it to its full extent. That could be bad. I guess I should live out every moment more carefully for the next few weeks.
Monday I went to SLO, that was fun. =] I enjoyed doing something with friends that I dont see every sunday, and getting away from Santa Maria. It was fun- need to do more things like that more often. yep. We saw all the good sights, well, not really- just buble gum alley- we took pictures with asian guys that we could not understand at all. Then I paid $3.50 for free ice cream- a highlight. But hey, the girl told me that the cone was no charge- of course I would expect that she meant it was free- I thought that our world was finally coming to its senses. I was gone, my dream was yet again crushed. I should have taken a picture with my "free" ice cream- darnt.
Then we went to Sabas house, and I wore a Hajab! I loved it. =] I want one so that I can wear it around at BYU-I. Anam asked if poeple would ask me about it, and I said they probably would- its our human nature. She then asked what I would tell people, and I couldnt think of anyting witty or funny that I would tell people- just that I like to be culturally diverse and I am researching my ancestry- or the many different possibilities therof.
Today my sister left, and now I am home all alone seeing as everyone else in my house has a car and things to do....not me. Instead im trying to think of how to occupy my time today.
Yesterday I went Kayaking with my dad, sister Maureen and nephew Nathan. That was fun- Nathan said I yelled at him, but I didnt. We saw some seels and got salt water taffy! I like taffy. =]
