Hole

Joe is off enjoying the wilderness. =[
My wilderness.
Well, his too. But not his without me. =[
He is with the young Men in our branch here, and left early early this morning, and will be back sometime who knows when tomorrow.
Until then, I am stuck. and bored.

While he is enjoying this:

I will get to be doing this:
(riding my bike for fun.)

Which is nice, because it has not been that hot here lately, and I just put Napoleon in my backpack and we are off to burn some energy!
Then I realize I am alone and bored. =[

Then I come home and realize I have to do this:
-Send out thank you's
-Sweep and Mop
-Pick up and clean in every other aspect
-TRY to eat something other than popcorn and chocolate pancakes
-Laundry

And although I am sure that should 'entertain' me, I know it will not suffice.

Woe to me, woe to me.
But I know Joe and Penny are loving there 20 mile walk today, and at least Joe misses me I am sure. =]

Love like crazy

They called them crazy when they started out
Said seventeen's too young to know what loves about
They've been together fifty-eight years now
That’s crazy

He brought home sixty-seven bucks a week
He bought a little 2 bedroom house on Maple Street
Where she blessed him with six more mouths to feed
Yea that’s crazy

Just ask him how he did it; he'll say pull up a seat
It'll only take a minute, to tell you everything
Be a best friend, tell the truth, and overuse I Love You
Go to work, do your best, don't outsmart your common sense
Never let your prayin' knees get lazy
And love like crazy

They called him crazy when he quit his job
Said them home computers, boy they'll never take off
He sold his one man shop to Microsoft
They paid like crazy

Just ask him how he made it
He'll tell you faith and sweat
And the heart of a faithful woman,
Who never let him forget

Be a best friend, tell the truth, and overuse I Love You
Go to work, do your best, don't outsmart your common sense
Never let your prayin knees get lazy
And love like crazy

Always treat your woman like a lady
Never get to old to call her baby
Never let your prayin knees get lazy
And love like crazy

They called him crazy when they started out
They've been together fifty-eight years now

Ain't that crazy?

Yes, yes I LOVE it.
=]

I also am in love with my little Napoleon. =]

My Coastal paradise...

It has gotten to that point where I think Joe is more excited to go home than I am.
Didn't think that would happen.
It has also got to the point that I do not want to do anything but dream of going home!

Dear Home,
I love you. I cannot wait to be reunited with you. There are very few things in this life that have my heart.
You are one of them.
Joe promises to take me back to you.
Oh, and I know he will. Because he would do anything for me. He is amazing.
Soon, with his amazing degree in Agriculture that will take us anywhere- we will come back. We will buy lots of land to live on, have an adorable house that people drive by and take pictures of, and where our puppies can run free. Oh how sweet shall be that day. =]
Love,
Mary
------------------------------------------------
Tomorrow my parents are coming for a visit! =] My mother will stay with me for a few days, which I am way excited for! Things here have been crazy! Last week just a lot of strange things happened, and a lot of strange people came by that made me want to leave this place FAST. I am excited for my mom, we shall have fun at fruit stands. =]
And then a weekend at home.
Then a 3 more weeks and HOME for 2...
then Idaho. =[

But for home, we shall:
Drink numerous slurpees.
Go to the beach every chance we get just to have our feet in the sand and watch the waves.
Eating at the AMAZING Splash Cafe. =D
Eat wonderful Sushi at the place that started our first date. =]
Take our dogs on so many walks they will sleep soundly for the next year.
Eat strawberries. And more strawberries. And some more.
Have bonfires every night.
Roast s'mores.
Sleep.
Laugh.
And LOVE life.
=]

SUMMER

There is something about blowing bubbles and eating cherries that remind me of summer
It makes me happy. =]
And Napoleon tried to eat the bubbles.

Yesterday a 16 year old girl came to my apartment asking to use my phone to call the police. Her aunt had been beating on her, and she had ran away. It seems like people always come to our apartment to ask for help.
I am glad I was here.
And I hope this is not taken the wrong way,
But I want out of Chowchilla.
No, more like out of this current apartment. Our neighbors are just scary and creepy.
I want to go live in those HUGE houses where there backyards are connected to a lake.
Yes.

My Irish Guy

Joseph, thank you for embracing my Irish culture.
Thank you for dancing to Irish songs with me
(Currently I have "I'll tell My Ma" stuck in my head, and I wish you were home from work so you can sweep me away and we can dance to it.)
Thank you for wanting to take me to Ireland
Thank you for agreeing to get an Irish accent WHEN we move to Ireland
Thank you for making me corn beef and cabbage whenever I want
You are my Irish guy- and you beat ALL the movies.

You may be Welch, but I love you. =]
I hope our kids have BLUE eyes so they can join my families "Blue eyed club". But if they have your beautiful brown eyes, I would be fine with that too. =]

I hope we can travel. Travel to Australia and you can learn to make horse shoes. Go to Samoa and lay on those beaches we dream of. Go to Ireland and just fall in love over and over every day. Go to New Zealand and see an All Blacks game, learn the war dance and eat some sheep. =] Go to Tonga and eat food and meet some of the coolest people alive I am sure. Cause I can speak Tongan. A little. =]

This friday Joe- It is our 3 MONTH ANNIVERSARY. I know, I am over excited. But it has gone so fast.
When I am with you, the world stands still, all in amazement.
Because nothing can compare to this.

I know this is cheesy, but this was said in a movie. And I love it.
My dad gave us an Irish blessing at our reception.
I think that should be a tradition for us.
Irish blessings.

"never steal, lie or cheat.
But if you must steal, steal away all my worries. If you must lie, lie with me every night. And if you must cheat, cheat death. Because I could never live life without you. "

I love you

An Ode to Slurpee

Today is 7/11.
Meaning that the store- 7/11, gives you free slurpees.
Amazing? Yes. Yes it is.
It is a wonderful day!
In fact, it is one of my FAVORITE days of the year. (12/25, 2/28, 7/4, and 7/11). =]

Sadly though. It is on a sunday. =[ And while the slurpees are FREE, it kind of probably would include making someone work, which is the OTHER side of not spending to keep the sabbath day holy.

Oh sad day. One more year till I can have all the free slurpees I want!
Last year I had 7.
Slurpees always remind me of home. Of my dad, of summer days, of friends- walking down and up the bradley dip to spend all our money on a slurpee and some candy.
Slurpees remind me of smiles. =]

Independance day

I LOVE 4th of July in Santa Maria.
My favorite part:
Stake Breakfast. =]
It is amazing.

Nathan and I- enjoying a wonderful July day. =] He is getting baptized next month!

My lovely mother agreed to model this car for my picture. They had so many things to look at- and that radio, on the car- totaly worked. Way cool.

Fire truck. A big hit with all the kids!

GUNS.
How can you get MORE patriotic?

This is General Spencer. One of the most amazing men you will ever meet. His sunday school lessons often include spills about the American flag and how beautiful women are and how the young men should treat them better. =]

And other pictures. Like the lovely Megan, who is always game for a good picture. =]
Made cookies (more like she made them and we frosted them), went on hikes with Joe and the dogs, got Napoleon his first Parvo shot, ate yummy food, visited friends and family, let everyone adore Napoleon, talk Macs with Jon, have a fire and roast s'mores =], and watch fireworks.

What a weekend. What a holiday. =]

“I can no longer obey; I have tasted command, and I cannot give it up.”

NAPOLEON.

1/2 Daushaund.
1/2 terrier.
3 months old.
Male
Likes to bite- getting his adult teeth in.
Is easily amused by different toys.
LOVES his blue squeaky toy.
Likes his dry food more than his wet food.
Does not know his height. (He will play with any dog- from a chiwawa that is still twice his size, to a German shepherd. He can hold his own!)
LOVES to play.
Falls asleep in the car.
Follows Penny anywhere.
Likes to play fetch.
Likes to sleep on the parking break between the passenger and driver in the car.
Has a good nose- he sure likes to smell.
and..
IS AS CUTE AS CAN BE!!!

Honestly, he is the cutest thing to walk this face of the earth.

(named not after Napoleon Bonaparte, but Napoleon, the hound dog in the Disney Aristocats movie, the Hound and beagle that attack the buttler.)

TODAY I.....

-Danced with Napoleon.
Sure, he is a dog. Shorter then heck. But we danced. Sure someone may have walked by the kitchen window and thought we were crazy. But we danced.

-Talked to a man about Boxers. The dog breed
-Made banana bread. It's my new addiction.
-Cleaned the kitchen. THEN decided to bake. I have a problem with doing that. Then I cleaned it again.
-Took the dogs on 3 walks.
